Admet Develops Planar Biaxial Testing System for Biological Tissue

Anyone that has done mechanical testing on biological tissue knows that it is a daunting challenge.  Testing biological tissue using traditional mechanical testing methods is a lot like trying to fit a square peg in a round hole.  To remedy this problem, one company has developed a biaxial testing system specifically for biological use.  ADMET's testing system accounts for many of the intricacies involved with testing biological tissue such as clamping and small sample size.  The system uses suture racks to mount specimens in the system and allows sample submersion in buffered saline solution at 37 degrees Celsius (body temperature).  Check out the links below for more information.
