A preliminary study in Cancer reveals that statin drugs, to lower cholesterol, such as Crestor, Lipitor, and Zocor may reduce the risk of recurrence of prostate cancer by up to 30%. However, looking at the size, results and statistics of the study, larger studies will need to be performed to confirm the finding.
