Age and Skill Improve Hazard Perception while Driving


A new study confirms common knowledge that older and more experienced drivers are better at perceiving hazards while driving.  While younger drivers have improved reaction times,  older and more experienced drivers are better at spotting potential hazards.  Older drivers appear to be better as scanning the surroundings for potential hazards and reacting accordingly, while young and inexperienced drivers potential hazards.  Perhaps this is why not only Gieco, but being an older and more experienced driver can save you 15% or more on car insurance.
