Heart Attack Incidence Down According to New England Journal of Medicine Study

A study at the California Kaiser Permanente hospital showed a decrease in the incidence of myocardial infarction (MI) down 24% and ST-elevation MI down 62% in a CA Study of 46,000 patients. The decade-long study in the New England Journal of Medicine attributes the decrease in MI incidence to improved prevention methods such as aspirin and beta blockers.
